Blank Street is looking for a passionate Barista to join their team in Manhattan. You will help create memorable experiences for customers by serving a curated menu with precision and care. Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service: Provide consistent, welcoming, and engaging customer interactions to turn visitors into regulars.
- Prepare beverages: Use high-quality equipment to craft delicious coffee, matcha, and other cafe drinks.
- Maintain standards: Follow all food safety guidelines, including Local Department of Health standards, and complete required training.
- Manage inventory: Monitor product levels to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Support operations: Participate in initiatives to increase sales and build a loyal local customer base.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year in customer service, preferably in hospitality or coffee.
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Physical ability: Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.
- Availability: Must work 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). Part-time roles require 15-25 hours/week; full-time roles require 30-40 hours/week. Weekend and holiday availability is preferred.
- Work authorization: You must be authorized to work in the U.S. Blank Street will verify this via Form I-9 and E-Verify upon acceptance of an offer.
