About the role
Accor is seeking a full-time, on-site Accounts Payable Analyst and General Cashier to join the team at Sofitel New York. As part of a global hospitality leader with over 45 brands, you will help manage financial operations while working in a supportive environment that values growth and diversity.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, verify approvals, and code expenses accurately.
- Manage daily cashiering tasks, including counting cash, preparing bank deposits, and reconciling house banks.
- Maintain vendor files and resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Support month-end closing activities and prepare account reconciliations and financial reports.
- Collaborate with Operations teams and respond to internal and external inquiries professionally.
- Support internal controls and audit requirements to safeguard hotel assets.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with experience in accounts payable and general ledger entries.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in account reconciliation.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and interacting with vendors.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting or property management systems; hospitality experience is preferred.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity in handling cash and financial data.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Pay and benefits
- Hourly pay between $32.00 and $35.00.
