About the role
Elite Talent Placements is seeking a detail-oriented Treasury Analyst to support our cross-border payment operations. You will work closely with treasury, sales, compliance, and operations teams to manage liquidity, FX rates, providers, settlements, and reconciliation. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Lagos, requiring office attendance two days a week.
Responsibilities
- Source and compare FX rates from liquidity partners, banks, and providers to maintain competitive pricing.
- Track balances across accounts, currencies, and payment corridors to ensure timely funding and settlement.
- Manage provider and partner relationships, including follow-ups on rates, settlements, and payment confirmations.
- Monitor market rates and corridor spreads to identify arbitrage and margin opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-border payment execution with internal teams and external providers.
- Track settlements, confirm funds received, and escalate any delays.
- Perform daily reconciliation across internal records, bank statements, and provider reports.
- Maintain accurate trackers, ledgers, rate sheets, and reconciliation files.
- Resolve exceptions quickly, such as failed payments, delayed settlements, or reconciliation gaps.
- Provide regular updates on liquidity, settlement status, provider performance, and operational risks.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in treasury, payments, finance, FX, banking operations, or fintech.
- Strong understanding of FX, payments, cross-border transactions, settlements, liquidity, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including trackers, reconciliations, formulas, and reporting.
- Sharp attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, rates, and margins.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions, providers, and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and good judgment in escalating urgent issues.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Experience with banks, fintech partners, or liquidity providers is a plus.
