About the role
Ascentech Services Limited is hiring a Trade and Bank Finance Executive to support the CFO in managing banking relationships and trade documentation. This full-time position is based in Obanikoro, Lagos. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with CBN regulations and using automation tools to streamline processes.
Responsibilities
- Process NXP forms for exports and monitor the repatriation of proceeds within CBN timelines.
- Coordinate letters of credit, bills of lading, and other customs paperwork for imports.
- Initiate and process Form M on the Nigeria Single Window and bank trade portals.
- Follow up with customs brokers and shipping agents to ensure timely shipment clearance.
- Track credit lines, LCs, and guarantees, alerting the CFO on renewals and collateral calls.
- Verify bank charges and interest against agreed terms to recover excess fees.
- Use AI tools and SAP to automate document preparation and shipment tracking.
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of experience in banking operations, trade finance, or import/export documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Nigerian trade processes such as Form M, PAAR, NXP, and LCs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, with SAP preferred.
- Working knowledge of CBN foreign exchange regulations, Nigeria Customs procedures, and Incoterms.
