About the role
Ascentech Services Limited is a human resources solutions company established in 2013. They are looking for a Tracking & Recovering Officer to join their team in Ikeja, Lagos. This is a full-time position focused on managing loan repayments and minimizing defaults.
Responsibilities
- Monitor repayment schedules to identify overdue and delinquent accounts.
- Contact borrowers via calls, SMS, emails, and field visits to secure repayments.
- Negotiate realistic repayment plans and follow up on payment commitments.
- Maintain accurate recovery records and an updated database of overdue accounts.
- Identify potential fraud and escalate high-risk cases to risk or legal teams.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on recovery and delinquency trends.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with company policies and regulations.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related fields.
- 1–3 years in debt recovery, collections, or loan monitoring within Fintech or Banking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and loan management systems.
- Strong negotiation, analytical reporting, and ability to handle difficult conversations.
- Willingness to conduct field visits across Lagos and work with minimal supervision.
