About the role
Jobtion Consulting is hiring a Toddler & Nursery Class Teacher to join their team in Lagos. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality early childhood education and care. You will work with combined age groups, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young learners. The role requires a strong commitment to child development and a passion for teaching toddlers and nursery children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, play-based lessons for Toddler and Nursery classes.
- Focus on EYFS areas including Communication & Language, Personal, Social & Emotional Development, and Physical Development.
- Use phonics, number play, songs, rhymes, and stories to build foundational skills.
- Ensure the safety, hygiene, and well-being of all children at all times.
- Manage combined age groups effectively with patience and creativity.
- Observe, assess, and keep records of each child’s progress and developmental milestones.
- Build positive relationships with parents, providing daily feedback on feeding, toileting, behavior, and learning.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, nannies, and other Early Years teachers.
- Uphold school safeguarding, health, and safety policies.
Requirements
- NCE or B.Ed in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education.
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience handling toddlers and Nursery combined in a reputable school or crèche.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Montessori approach is an advantage.
- Very patient, loving, energetic, and passionate about toddlers.
- Good communication skills and neat appearance.
- Must reside in Lagos.
