- Location: Lagos, Nigeria
- Job type: Full-time
About the role
Zipline uses drones to deliver life-saving medicine to hospitals across multiple countries. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of our deployments in Nigeria. You will own the integrated deployment plan, operating cadence, and processes required to turn complex launches into predictable, repeatable execution. Working with both Nigeria-based and global teams, you will identify risks early, drive accountability, and ensure every site is ready to launch safely.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain integrated schedules connecting construction, procurement, shipping, hardware commissioning, regulatory approvals, and launch execution.
- Own the master deployment plan across multiple concurrent distribution center launches in Nigeria.
- Partner with Nigeria leadership to align deployments with customer commitments and country priorities.
- Lead execution across Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, Logistics, Regulatory, Operations, Finance, and country teams.
- Establish metrics for schedule performance, launch readiness, execution quality, and deployment cost.
- Develop repeatable planning tools, stage gates, dashboards, and playbooks that contribute to global deployment standards.
- Drive timely decisions and run weekly program reviews, executive status updates, and post-launch retrospectives.
Requirements
- 6+ years leading complex technical, operational, infrastructure, or supply chain programs.
- Strong program management fundamentals, including integrated planning, critical-path management, and risk mitigation.
- Proven track record managing large cross-functional programs with multiple organizations and long-lead dependencies.
- Experience launching complex physical infrastructure or real-world operational systems.
- Experience in Nigeria or a comparable operating environment is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with program and scheduling tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira, Airtable) and building KPI dashboards.
- Ability to work effectively across global, cross-cultural teams and translate between on-the-ground realities and global requirements.
- Flexibility to work across time zones and outside normal hours during critical launch periods.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Nigeria and internationally for planning, commissioning, and launch support.
