About the role
Arrupe Jesuit College (AJC) is a non-profit, co-educational boarding Catholic and Jesuit secondary school. We are looking for a dedicated Technical Drawing Teacher to join our team in Abbi, Delta. As a teacher at AJC, you will serve as a role model for our students while delivering high-quality instruction in Digital Technology and Technical Drawing. You will ensure that all items in the school’s scheme of work are covered effectively, helping students gain both academic knowledge and practical life skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction in accordance with the Nigerian National Policy on Education and AJC regulations.
- Cover the full scheme of work for Technical Drawing and Digital Technology efficiently.
- Teach students the practical applications of Digital Technology in everyday life.
- Serve as a positive role model for students.
Requirements
- Qualifications: A B.Ed in ICT or an equivalent qualification is required. Any higher degree or qualification in ICT is an advantage. A TRCN is mandatory.
- Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role.
- Personal Qualities: Effective communication and presentation skills, a good command of English, an understanding of adolescent psychology, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with minimum supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word and PowerPoint) is required.
