About the role
Nepal Energies is a leading player in the oil and gas industry, operating across downstream, midstream, and upstream segments. The company is looking for a Station Cashier to join its team in Ilorin, Kwara. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for processing customer payments and maintaining financial integrity at the filling station. You will report directly to the Station Manager and are expected to uphold high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process payments for fuel, lubricants, and other products using cash, POS, or bank transfers.
- Issue accurate receipts and provide correct change to customers.
- Reconcile daily sales and cash collections against records at the end of each shift.
- Maintain complete and accurate transaction records, including POS slips and transfer confirmations.
- Operate POS terminals correctly and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service, escalating disputes to the Station Manager when necessary.
- Safeguard company funds and strictly separate them from personal funds.
- Complete shift handover procedures, including documenting any outstanding transactions.
- Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and financial control requirements.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle various payment methods.
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- High level of integrity and financial accountability.
- Must reside close to the proposed location in Ilorin, Kwara.
