About the role
Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited, a specialist in Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) established in 1981, is looking for a skilled Spray Painter to join their team in Ilupeju, Lagos. The company manufactures and erects steel structures for various sectors, including oil and gas, and produces 250 tons of steel products monthly. This full-time position requires a professional who can handle surface preparation and painting tasks within a steel fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding and removing old paint.
- Fill holes, cracks, and joints with appropriate fillers.
- Mix paints and pigments to match specified colors.
- Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers to create desired finishes.
- Set up scaffolding or ladders for work at height.
- Produce painted signs as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and work orders.
- Manage inventory of tools and assist with material control.
- Inspect completed jobs and ensure the work area is clean.
- Operate equipment safely and perform preventive maintenance.
- Handle and dispose of chemicals according to safety procedures.
Requirements
- Proximity to Ilupeju, Lagos State.
- Experience in a Steel Fabrication Company is highly preferred.
