Echolab Laboratory & Radiology Services is seeking a qualified Sonographer to join their team in Abuja. This role involves operating ultrasound equipment and ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce clear diagnostic images.
- Review images to ensure quality and identify abnormalities requiring further investigation.
- Maintain detailed patient records, including examination findings and technical parameters.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare professionals regarding preliminary results.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Stay up to date on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology.
Requirements
- First Degree in Radiography.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in ultrasound.
- 2-4 years of previous experience as a Sonographer.
- A valid license to practice.
- Strong attention to detail and skill in patient identification.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Good communication skills to connect with various types of patients.
