About the role
Power Ark Infrastructure Limited provides end-to-end photovoltaic and energy storage solutions across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. We are looking for an experienced Solar Installation Engineer to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos. This is a hands-on technical position focused on the practical execution of solar and battery system projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission solar panels, inverters, lithium batteries, and charge controllers.
- Perform electrical wiring, system testing, and performance verification.
- Conduct site surveys, load calculations, and solar system sizing.
- Apply working knowledge of ATS, STS, EMS, and battery management systems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on installed systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, communication, and system integration faults.
- Prepare detailed installation, commissioning, and maintenance reports.
- Ensure compliance with approved designs, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC core solar installation experience.
- Proven ability to independently install, configure, and troubleshoot solar PV and lithium battery systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, load calculations, and system sizing.
- Good technical problem-solving skills and understanding of electrical safety procedures.
