About the role
FactBase Consulting Limited is seeking a Social Media Officer for a reputable client based on Lagos Island. The client specializes in the procurement, distribution, and promotion of literary materials, serving retail and wholesale customers across Nigeria and neighboring African countries. This full-time position offers a monthly salary of N250,000 to N280,000.
Responsibilities
- Edit videos and produce creative visual content tailored to various platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote products, services, and campaigns.
- Recommend innovative strategies to increase followers, engagement, and conversions.
- Manage and maintain the company’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and interact with online communities.
- Track performance and prepare periodic reports on reach, engagement, and growth.
- Create engaging content, including posts, captions, short videos, reels, and stories.
- Plan and execute social media content calendars and campaigns.
- Stay updated on social media trends, platform algorithms, and emerging content formats.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2–3 years of progressive experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a related role.
- A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Media Studies, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar applications.
- Graphic design skills, particularly proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools, are an added advantage.
- A portfolio or links to previously created work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong content creation and copywriting skills.
- Good understanding of social media analytics and performance measurement.
- Creativity, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to meet deadlines.
