About the role
Penafort Energy Limited is a diversified Nigerian company operating in energy, retail, beverages, and automotive services. They are looking for a skilled and creative professional to join their team in Festac Town, Lagos. This full-time position focuses on preparing and serving high-quality parfaits, smoothies, and freshly squeezed fruit juices. The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, hygienic, and experienced in beverage production and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve various types of parfaits, smoothies, and fresh fruit juices.
- Wash, peel, cut, and process fruits and other ingredients appropriately.
- Create smoothies using fruits, yoghurt, milk, and other approved ingredients.
- Prepare fresh fruit juices using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Assemble attractive parfait combinations with yoghurt, fruits, granola, nuts, and toppings.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Suggest new product combinations and recipes to enhance variety.
- Monitor ingredient usage, stock levels, and product shelf life.
- Maintain cleanliness of the preparation area, equipment, and display units.
- Attend to customers professionally and provide recommendations.
- Comply with company food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC qualification.
- 1–2 years of proven experience in parfait, smoothie, and fruit juice preparation.
- Practical knowledge of fruit selection, handling, cutting, blending, and juicing.
- Ability to operate blenders, juicers, and other food preparation equipment.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
- Creativity in developing fruit combinations and recipes.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- High level of cleanliness, punctuality, honesty, and professionalism.
- Food safety or food handling certification is an added advantage.
