About the role
DreamCity Property & Investment Limited is a leading developer of residential and commercial real estate across Nigeria. We are currently seeking two Site Engineers – Structural to join our team in Jabi, Abuja (FCT) or Lagos. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will work directly under the Project Coordinator to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement project designs and construction schedules as directed by the Project Supervisor.
- Ensure all work adheres to approved designs and project timelines.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project team members.
- Apply the company’s project checklist to maintain quality assurance standards.
- Coordinate the activities of masons, laborers, and ad hoc staff on-site.
- Ensure construction works align with specifications without errors or inconsistencies.
- Minimize on-site wastage and manage resources efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Project Supervisor, Executive Assistant, and external consultants to meet company standards.
- Contribute to the implementation of the company’s construction policy.
- Optimize the use of financial resources and materials allocated for site use.
Requirements
- Professional certification including COREN, NSE, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Site Structural Engineer in the real estate and property construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting project designs and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, project management, and quality control.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Relevant educational qualifications in Engineering, such as structural engineering or a related field.
- An HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
