About the role
Ponticelli Nigeria Limited (PNL), a subsidiary of the Ponticelli Frères Group, is seeking a Shutdown Project Manager to join its team in Port Harcourt. As a leading European services supplier, PNL specializes in construction and upgrade services for oil and gas facilities in Nigeria. This is a technical support contract position focused on delivering safe and efficient shutdown activities within the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute shutdown projects from preparation to completion.
- Ensure all activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with HSE standards.
- Supervise multidisciplinary teams across maintenance and construction scopes.
- Manage technical operations involving Pressure Vessels (PVV), structural works, and capacity-related equipment.
- Oversee fabrication works, site installation, and execution.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, shutdown timelines, and resource allocation plans.
- Ensure accurate progress tracking and reporting to stakeholders.
- Manage project coordination, including invoicing, cost tracking, and site mobilization.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical and safety requirements.
- Manage personnel mobilization, workforce planning, and logistics.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in shutdown or project management within the oil & gas or similar industrial sectors.
- Proven experience in maintenance and multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of PVV, structural, and vessel-related works.
- Demonstrated experience in fabrication, installation, project planning, and scheduling.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced shutdown environment.
- Solid knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Fluency in English.
