About the role
An Agriculture / Agro-Allied Company is looking for an experienced Shipping and Clearing Officer to join its Shipping Department. This full-time position is based in Oyo State. The role focuses on managing import documentation and ensuring the smooth movement of cargo through customs clearance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify shipping and importation documents.
- Track shipments and follow up on customs clearance and cargo release.
- Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
Requirements
- HND or BSc in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of practical experience in shipping documentation and importation.
- Hands-on knowledge of Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Form M, PAAR, SGD, Delivery Order, and customs clearance documents.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian import procedures and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
