About the role
Quickli App is a fast-growing e-commerce platform in Lagos that connects users with trusted vendors and riders for food, groceries, and last-mile delivery. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer & IT Strategy Consultant to serve in an advisory and IT management capacity. This is a contract role focused on assessing our technology ecosystem, establishing scalable strategies, and providing technical leadership across our digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and recommend technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Advise executive management on technology investments, innovation, and digital transformation.
- Provide strategic guidance on system scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing application architecture and infrastructure.
- Offer technical leadership in digital payment integrations, wallet systems, and transaction processing.
- Support executive management in technology-related decision-making and IT governance.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to improve platform functionality and user experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including senior engineering or technology leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in IT strategy, business technology consulting, and engineering management.
- Demonstrated success designing, developing, or scaling e-commerce, fintech, logistics, or FoodTech platforms.
- Strong background in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, APIs, and database management.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, Next.js, MongoDB, Redis, AWS, microservices, and real-time systems is highly desirable.
