About the role
Casalavoro Limited is a fast-growing company with interests in Real Estate, Hospitality, Asset Management, and Agricultural Commodity Trading. We are looking for a results-driven Senior Site Engineer to lead construction activities across our project sites. This full-time position is based in Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT). You will ensure projects are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Site Operations: Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment. Supervise site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure milestones are met.
- Technical Management: Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Resolve technical challenges and liaise with consultants.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets project requirements. Maintain records of tests and inspections.
- Project Planning: Monitor progress, identify delays, and develop site work plans. Coordinate with Quantity Surveying and Procurement teams.
- HSE Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, ensure PPE usage, and manage site hazards.
- Resource Management: Monitor material usage to minimize wastage and verify deliveries against specifications.
- Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Document site challenges and escalate critical issues.
- Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and promote discipline and accountability among site teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ proven experience in construction and site engineering.
- Extensive experience supervising medium- to large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural works, building construction methods, and engineering standards.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering or project management software.
- Professional registration with COREN or other relevant bodies is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
