About the role
Control Risks is a specialist risk consultancy helping organizations create secure, compliant, and resilient environments. We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead the Operational Security business in Lagos. This is a regional role focused on Nigeria and wider West Africa, where you will ensure the delivery of commercial, administrative, and world-class operational support to client projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage embedded consulting service operations and client requirements across West Africa on a day-to-day basis.
- Oversee the quality assurance of delivery by embedded consultants within the region.
- Handle commercial management of client engagements, ensuring project costs are captured and financial recording is timely and accurate.
- Deliver high-quality work for existing and new clients, maintaining and expanding business relationships.
- Manage personnel through the consultant lifecycle, from recruitment to task completion, ensuring roles are filled with appropriately skilled individuals.
- Prepare quarterly reports for each project, highlighting strengths and development priorities.
- Ensure all embedded consulting projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and implement operations management processes and support embedded consultants with welfare concerns.
- Scope new projects, author high-quality proposals, and manage third-party suppliers and vendors.
Requirements
- Background in delivering security consultancy services to the highest standard.
- Experience in delivering security risk management.
- Developed commercial skills in providing risk management services.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Experience in successfully managing client and consultant relationships.
