About the role
Fort Knox Outsourcing is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their Engineering department in Abuja (FCT). This is a full-time, senior executive position. You will take ownership of enterprise network infrastructure, solving complex challenges and contributing to scalable network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and IP/MPLS infrastructure.
- Provide advanced support for BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, VPN, and SDN technologies.
- Design routing topologies for Core, Access, Metro, and Edge networks.
- Support cloud, security, SD-WAN, and IoT initiatives.
- Develop automation tools to improve network operations.
- Troubleshoot network failures, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues.
- Configure VLANs, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, and security protocols like IPSec.
- Participate in on-call support and travel when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant professional certifications.
- 7–10 years of experience managing and troubleshooting IP networks.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, and Bluecoat technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced technical environment.
