About the role
EIDU is seeking a Senior Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Manager to join the Research, Learning and AI team. You will play a key role in ensuring effective data collection, analysis, and reporting to improve the performance and impact of EIDU’s education programs in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for EIDU’s Nigeria programs, including metrics and data collection systems.
- Lead end-to-end research and evaluation projects, from scoping to dissemination of findings.
- Manage research engagement with Nigerian state education ministries and agencies.
- Lead impact evaluations, including Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), on education interventions.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), tools, and templates to standardize data management.
- Identify strategic opportunities for partnership development and responses to RFPs.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to integrate research initiatives with organizational strategies.
- Work closely with the Director of Research and AI to support decision-making in Nigeria.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Advanced Degree in Social Sciences, Data Science, or Education.
- 6+ years of M&E experience in international development, EdTech, or education programs in Nigeria or similar contexts.
- Proven track record of building M&E frameworks and conducting field research and evaluations (including RCTs).
- Strong statistical and analytical skills with experience in STATA, R, or Python.
- At least 2 years managing communications and M&E activities with government entities.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized and comfortable with end-to-end project ownership in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to travel across Nigeria.
