About the role
Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul Hospital is a faith-based facility in Kubwa, Abuja, dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services. We aim to bridge the gap between public health services and the needs of the community, particularly in rural areas. We are currently seeking a Senior Medical Officer to join our team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose diseases and assess the need for therapies or medicines.
- Prescribe treatments and laboratory tests, and interpret results.
- Provide information to patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment goals.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medical quality assurance standards.
- Perform minor and major surgical procedures.
- Supervise and train medical personnel and trainee doctors.
Requirements
- MBBS Degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated surgical skills and participation in minor/major surgical procedures.
- Experience in Management, Leadership, or Administrative positions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
