About the role
MTN Nigeria is seeking a Senior Lead to join the Finance division in Ikoyi, Lagos. In this position, you will oversee commercial sourcing activities, ensuring that procurement processes align with global and local policies. You will report directly to the Manager of Commercial Sourcing.
Responsibilities
- Review and process approved requisitions for negotiations and purchase orders.
- Initiate and manage Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), including necessary amendments.
- Facilitate contract drafting with the legal team and oversee execution.
- Manage changes to negotiation awards, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Update and share sourcing reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key performance metrics to ensure alignment with group targets.
- Ensure compliance and governance through audit reviews and risk management.
- Analyze stakeholder requirements to align procurement with organizational needs.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor and resolve supply chain delays in collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements
- A first degree in a related discipline.
- Fluency in English.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in a specialized area, including supervisory experience.
- Experience working in a medium-sized organization.
- Background in purchasing functions.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to understand and apply Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems.
- A PGD, MBA, or CIPS qualification is an added advantage.
