About the role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager to lead the human resources function in Ibadan, Oyo. This full-time, on-site position focuses on aligning HR strategies with business objectives within a production-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, agro-processing, or related industries and will be responsible for overseeing workforce planning, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals.
- Manage employee grievances, disciplinary procedures, and industrial relations for factory and operational staff.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workforce planning for all levels of the organization.
- Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and workforce costs to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, including pension contributions, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee the use of HR information systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 9 – 12 years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years in a managerial or senior HR leadership role.
- Professional certification from CIPM, CIPD, or an equivalent recognised HR body is required.
- Proven HR management experience in animal feed manufacturing, agro-processing, edible oil production, food manufacturing, or a closely related agro-allied industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Ibadan, Oyo State.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems; advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
