About the role
We are a prominent group with interests in real estate, building, and construction. We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Nigeria. This is a full-time position focused on structural design, project management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain project-monitoring logs and provide timely updates to key stakeholders on project status and technical evaluations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure structural designs and HSE guidelines are implemented effectively.
- Assess technical requirements, advise on construction materials, and compute loads and stresses.
- Support the efficient design of buildings and structures as required.
- Work with statutory planning officials to secure necessary regulatory approvals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in structural design and construction.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
- Professional certification and accreditation by the Nigerian Society of Engineers / COREN is mandatory.
- Strong project and team management skills, including the ability to multitask.
- Post-graduate degrees and Project Management certification are advantageous.
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to influence external partners.
