About the role
Sahara Group is a leading international energy and infrastructure conglomerate with operations in over 38 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. We are looking for a Senior Business Performance Analyst to join our team in Victoria Island, Lagos. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in driving business performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly performance reviews and prepare management reports, dashboards, and Board/Executive presentations.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and evaluate strategic plans and identify growth opportunities.
- Use analytical and BI tools to analyze complex datasets, automate reporting, and improve data quality.
- Guide junior analysts and ensure the quality and timeliness of analytical deliverables.
- Analyze financial and operational performance, monitor KPIs, and recommend actions to improve results.
- Coordinate business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in business performance management, financial planning, or related roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Power BI or similar data analytics and visualization tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior management.
- Experience in the energy sector or other complex, data-intensive industries is an advantage.
- Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
