About the role
Ginos Ventures Limited is an indigenous distributor of medical consumables and devices across Africa. We provide procurement, distribution, and supply solutions for over 15 multinational healthcare companies and work with approximately 60% of healthcare institutions in Nigeria. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting and financial operations, maintain financial accuracy, and strengthen internal controls to support the company’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Monitor budgets and cash flow activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle payroll processing and monitor financial transactions.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes.
- Implement and continuously improve accounting systems, processes, and financial controls.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Supervise and support accounting staff where applicable.
- Ensure timely filing of taxes and statutory deductions.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and accounts.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and Company policies.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be resident in Abuja.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to drive is an added advantage.
