About the role
Moniepoint Incorporated is a global business payments and banking platform serving over 600,000 businesses. They are looking for a Security & Technology Risk Analyst to join their Information Security Assurance Team. In this remote, full-time position, you will identify, monitor, and report on security and technology operational risks. Your work will help translate complex risk data into actionable intelligence for executive leadership, ensuring the company maintains high standards of regulatory compliance and operational resilience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across security and technology domains using frameworks like NIST and FAIR.
- Perform Business Impact Analysis (BIA) on critical systems to determine Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
- Administer and maintain the security risk register with current records for regulatory examinations and audits.
- Guide the development of risk treatment plans aligned with enterprise risk appetite, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track the execution of risk treatment plans and ensure residual risk remains within tolerance levels.
- Design and maintain quantifiable risk metrics and dashboards for executive decision-making.
- Analyze emerging threats and regulatory changes to proactively surface new risks.
- Ensure adherence to applicable financial regulations and standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS.
- Support security teams in evaluating third-party and vendor risks.
- Communicate risk findings and recommendations in business-relevant terms to stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in operational risk management, cybersecurity risk, or technology risk assessment.
- Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, threat analysis, or vulnerability management.
- Experience developing risk metrics, KPIs, or dashboards for executive audiences.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework or ISO 27001.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and qualitative/quantitative analysis.
- Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery planning principles.
- Professional certifications like CISM or CRISC are a plus.
- Must have completed B.Sc. and NYSC or possess a valid exemption/exclusion certificate.
