About the role
Egbin Power Plc, one of the largest power stations in Sub-Saharan Africa, is seeking a Security Operations Manager. This position is based in Ikorodu, Lagos, and focuses on coordinating security operations to manage enterprise risks and enhance business value. The company is part of the Sahara Power Group and is committed to expanding its electricity generation capacity.
Responsibilities
- Implement industry best practices and develop security standards, processes, and procedures.
- Administer security programs for sensitive materials, documents, and equipment.
- Prepare manuals for handling, storing, and accessing restricted areas and records.
- Coordinate security compliance audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Liaise with government security agencies and lead due diligence and investigations.
- Oversee the Security Operations Control Room and armed response team.
- Ensure proper induction of new hires and armed security personnel.
- Update security incident and risk registers and prepare routine reports.
- Implement data protection policies and ensure compliance with the NDPR.
- Maintain awareness of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Post-graduate degree or relevant professional qualifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, with at least two (2) years in the security industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of electronic security systems, tactical security operations, and project management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
