About the role
TQ Farms Nigeria Limited is an integrated agricultural business based in Ogun State. We are looking for a hardworking and physically fit individual to join our team in Ijebu-Ode. This full-time position involves securing our farm, poultry pens, and facilities while also assisting with loading, offloading, and general farm tasks. The role is shift-based, including rotational day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Responsibilities
- Enforce biosecurity rules at entry points, such as footbaths and restricted access areas.
- Control access at the gate by checking visitors, vehicles, goods, and staff movement.
- Maintain security logs, visitor books, and incident reports, ensuring proper handover at the end of each shift.
- Patrol the premises, including fences, pens, and stores, to report suspicious activity or security risks.
- Prevent theft of feed, eggs, birds, drugs, fuel, tools, and equipment.
- Load and offload feed, eggs, birds, raw materials, products, and equipment from vehicles using safe lifting practices.
- Assist stores and farm teams with daily tasks such as moving materials, cleaning, and general farm work.
- Count, stack, and arrange goods properly in stores and assist with stock checks.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in security, farm work, or loading and offloading.
- SSCE or OND qualification.
- Physically strong, well-built, and able to lift heavy loads and work outdoors.
- Ability to read, write, and keep simple records.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good character, with a guarantor and police report potentially required.
- Man O’ War or other security training is an added advantage but not required.
- Willingness to be trained and work in farm and poultry pen environments.
