About the role
Rainbow Educational Service Limited is recruiting a School Principal for a leading Nigerian school in Surulere, Lagos. The school offers a blended Nigerian and Cambridge curriculum and is backed by a top-flight education management company. This full-time position focuses on nurturing well-rounded students within a high-quality learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversee the effective day-to-day management of the school.
- Drive academic excellence through the implementation and monitoring of the Nigerian and Cambridge curricula.
- Supervise teaching and learning, monitor student progress, and ensure continuous improvement in academic outcomes.
- Lead, motivate, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff, including Heads of Departments.
- Prepare regular reports on academic performance, staff effectiveness, and overall school operations.
- Maintain high standards of student discipline, safeguarding, welfare, and pastoral care.
- Ensure compliance with relevant education regulations, examination-body requirements, and school policies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in the education sector, with substantial experience in senior school leadership or academic management.
- Proven experience in a Principal, Vice Principal, Deputy Head, or comparable leadership position is strongly preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a relevant bachelor’s degree with a recognised postgraduate qualification in Education.
- Valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) registration and certification, where applicable.
- Experience with the Cambridge curriculum and Nigerian external examination systems is a strong advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant school management systems.
