About the role
P.Petrop Solutions Limited is a fast-growing company specializing in generator and agricultural power solutions across Nigeria. We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to focus on spare parts for generators and truck accessories. This is a full-time, field-based position based in Lagos. You will report to the Senior Sales Manager and work directly with dealers, distributors, and retailers to ensure genuine parts reach end customers.
Responsibilities
- Expand network coverage by identifying and onboarding new retailers, mechanics, and sub-stockists in untapped areas.
- Drive secondary sales by working closely with channel partners to improve parts availability and off-take.
- Conduct market activities such as mechanic meets, van campaigns, and road shows to build brand awareness.
- Provide regular market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing, and demand trends.
- Manage territory credit and collections, ensuring adherence to credit norms and efficient recovery.
- Maintain accurate reporting through DMS/CRM systems, including daily visit plans and sales tracking.
- Support distributors and retailers in managing stock health and liquidating slow-moving inventory.
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; an MBA or Diploma in Marketing is an advantage.
- 7–15 years of field sales experience, preferably in spare parts, auto components, or lubricants distribution.
- Hands-on experience in secondary sales, distributor handling, and retail network development.
- Strong skills in territory management, relationship building, and on-ground execution.
- Working knowledge of DMS/CRM tools and MS Office (Excel).
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
