About the role
Baker Hughes is hiring an RT Geomechanics Engineer to join their team in Lagos. This full-time position involves supporting geomechanics operations and subsurface studies for customers across the Eastern Hemisphere. You will work with a global team to enhance productivity in the oil and gas value chain.
Responsibilities
- Provide geomechanics operation support and conduct subsurface studies for customers.
- Perform geomechanical modelling, including pre-drill and post-drill analysis in 1D and 3D.
- Deliver real-time geomechanical analysis, pore pressure, and wellbore stability services.
- Offer feedback on technology performance and operational challenges.
- Prepare high-quality technical presentations and support customer meetings.
- Identify problems and propose solutions to mitigate or eliminate them.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers across different cultures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, Earth Sciences, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Geoscience and/or Real Time Geomechanics.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of drilling operations, including wireline and LWD tools and measurements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
