About the role
Scruples Resources Limited is a premier oil and gas support services provider based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are seeking a Rig Supervisor III to represent the company on rig sites. In this contract position, you will act as the primary contact for rig and third-party personnel, ensuring that logistics for people, equipment, and services are organized and managed effectively to support safe and efficient well plan execution.
Responsibilities
- Communicate expectations regarding safety, security, health, and environment (SSHE) and support the management of related events.
- Generate accurate and adequate operations reports.
- Interface with engineering and geology teams to ensure a clear understanding of well objectives and procedural requirements.
- Ensure that safety, operational, environmental, and security drills are conducted on site at specified frequencies.
- Support onsite surveillance requirements, including kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque and drag, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
- Monitor rig operations to provide feedback to the rig contractor, ensuring well control procedures are followed and emergency situations are managed appropriately.
- Order and organize logistics for services and equipment necessary for drilling and completion operations.
- Ensure drilling and completion procedures are followed as approved, utilizing management of change processes when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience in rig supervisory or rig leadership roles for drilling and completion operations.
- Current certification for Well Control.
- At least 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience working for a major Operator or Drilling Contractor.
