About the role
Artee Group is a fast-growing Nigerian business conglomerate with a strong retail presence, including the SPAR brand. We are looking for a Retails Operations Manager to join our team in Abeokuta, Ogun. This is a full-time position where you will lead the fresh department operations, ensuring high standards of quality, customer service, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of fresh departments, including bakery, HMR, fruits, vegetables, and butchery.
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and shelf life to minimize waste and loss.
- Ensure high-quality product availability and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Control expenses such as labor costs, shrinkage, and overheads to meet profitability targets.
- Coach and support staff to improve product knowledge, customer service, and efficiency.
- Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales.
- Adhere to SOPs, store standards, and operational checklists.
- Report regularly to management on KPIs, sales trends, and operational metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage.
- Elevate the customer experience through product presentation, cleanliness, and personalized service.
Requirements
- Experience in retail operations, particularly in fresh food departments.
- Strong skills in inventory management, cost control, and loss prevention.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate store staff.
- Knowledge of merchandising and visual presentation strategies.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.
