About the role
Scruples Resource Limited, a premier oil and gas support services provider based in Lagos, is seeking a Reservoir Engineer / Advisor III. This contract position focuses on identifying production improvement opportunities, optimizing reservoir studies, and mentoring junior engineers. You will contribute to field development planning, reserves coordination, and new business development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare production testing proposals and evaluate results to recommend optimum performance monitoring methods.
- Conduct reservoir engineering and simulation studies to identify optimum recovery and field development options.
- Coach and mentor junior reservoir engineers, sharing best practices and providing guidance.
- Manage contracts for well testing and software, including technical and commercial evaluations.
- Prepare detailed medium and long-term production forecasts for asset budget planning.
- Conduct annual reserves evaluation, classification, and booking for assigned assets.
- Monitor production from existing fields and ensure reservoirs are properly managed to maximize recovery.
Requirements
- University Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 8 years in reservoir engineering at an operating company.
- Strong skills in well modeling, performance analysis, reserves calculation, and field development planning.
- Experience with reservoir simulation model construction and analytical reservoir modeling (Material Balance, DCA, PTA).
- Knowledge of waterflood and gas injection management.
- Excellent English language skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
