About the role
Kaplo Africa is seeking a proactive individual to join their team as a Remote Business Development Intern. This position is perfect for those interested in building a career in business development, sales, recruitment, or human resources. You will gain practical experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship management while working on real client growth activities.
Responsibilities
- Generate leads through LinkedIn, social media, online research, and networking.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and maintain an organized pipeline.
- Conduct market research to identify potential industries and business opportunities.
- Support the conversion of qualified prospects into clients.
- Perform outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to engage potential clients.
- Introduce the company’s recruitment and talent outsourcing services to prospective clients.
- Participate in team meetings and provide regular updates on outreach activities.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and follow-ups.
Requirements
- Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good research, networking, and lead-generation skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.
- Previous experience in sales, business development, or recruitment is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Highly organized with good follow-up and time-management skills.
