About the role
Sun King is seeking a skilled Regional Installation & Maintenance Technician to serve as the primary technical expert for solar inverters in the Uyo, Akwa Ibom region. This position is vital for delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction with our solar energy products.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of solar inverter systems for customers in your assigned zone.
- Use remote monitoring platforms to track system performance, diagnose issues, and schedule proactive maintenance to prevent failures.
- Conduct routine audits of installations by internal teams and third-party partners to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Identify, onboard, and train third-party installers to expand service coverage and maintain high performance levels.
- Document service activities, manage spare parts inventory, and submit detailed reports to the After-Sales Manager.
- Ensure all activities comply with Sun King’s health, safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in after-sales service or technical support within the electronic consumer goods, solar, or mobile device industry.
- Strong knowledge of solar inverter systems, installation processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of solar PV systems, electrical wiring standards, and power electronics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and remote monitoring software.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
