About the role
Jaza Energy is a solar energy start-up dedicated to powering Sub-Saharan Africa by building solar-powered shops that charge batteries for home use. The company employs local women, known as Jaza Stars, to run these services, empowering them as leaders and entrepreneurs. As the Regional Coordinator for Delta, you will serve as a line manager and regional business owner, reporting to the Country Business Operations Lead. You will be responsible for overseeing regional operations, managing profitability, and leading the recruitment, training, and coaching of your regional team.
Responsibilities
- Manage regional profit and loss by developing growth plans and controlling costs.
- Oversee regional inventory management and ensure compliance with policies.
- Lead the recruitment and training of Jaza Stars and Super Stars.
- Manage team performance through meetings, coaching, and reviews.
- Develop quarterly and monthly plans to grow active customers and revenue.
- Resolve service interruptions and customer complaints at the Hub level.
- Coordinate with technical teams to maintain Hub uptime.
- Build relationships with local government officials and represent the company in legal affairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Sales and Business Development.
- Deep understanding of last-mile community sales and customer acquisition.
- Experience managing and motivating junior sales executives.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills for data interpretation.
