About the role
Westbridge Industries Limited is looking for a dedicated Refinery Production Officer to join their team in Mowe, Ogun. This full-time position involves overseeing daily production activities, operating processing equipment, and ensuring that all safety, quality, and environmental standards are met. The role is crucial for achieving production targets while minimizing downtime and waste.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment such as pumps, mixers, reactors, and packaging machines.
- Start up, shut down, and adjust machinery according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor process variables including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and product quality.
- Engage in the production, processing, and packaging of goods at the manufacturing facility.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment abnormalities or potential hazards.
- Record production data, equipment readings, and operational activities accurately.
- Ensure raw materials are available and transferred safely for production.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Participate in preventive maintenance activities and equipment changeovers.
- Report production deviations, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
- 5 years of previous experience in manufacturing, refinery, blending, and processing is preferred.
- Must have experience from an edible oil refinery manufacturing company.
- Must reside around Mowe and its environs.
- Knowledge of production preparations, processes, equipment operation, and process control systems.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in shift rotations, including nights and weekends.
- Understanding of quality management systems and process improvement practices.
