About the role
Marriott International is seeking a Recreation Experience Expert to join the Four Points by Sheraton team in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all on-property recreation activities. You will help create a fun and relaxing environment for guests while ensuring the safety and proper use of facilities such as pools, fitness centers, and game rooms. This position is exclusively for Nigerian local candidates.
Responsibilities
- Inform guests about available recreation facilities and encourage participation in activities.
- Register and schedule guests for various recreational programs.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to protect guests and staff.
- Monitor recreational areas and respond to emergencies according to operating procedures.
- Provide cashier services for point-of-sale transactions within the facilities.
- Assist with hosting private functions and group events.
- Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
- Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Process payments for rentals, activities, and retail sales.
- Follow company policies, maintain a professional appearance, and protect company assets.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Experience: No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
- Certifications: Valid CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
- Other: Any additional certifications required by local or state agencies.
- Eligibility: Must be a Nigerian local.
