About the role
Max Drive is a technology-enabled company focused on solving mobility challenges in Africa. We are looking for a Recovery Supervisor to join our team in Abeokuta, Ogun. In this role, you will oversee the debt recovery process, ensuring that overdue accounts are tracked, negotiated, and recovered while maintaining strict compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead recovery activities across all cities and new locations.
- Manage and develop collections teams, including involvement in staffing decisions and career development.
- Review the effectiveness of debt recovery processes and policies.
- Engage with guarantors to negotiate settlements and collaborate with legal counsel on enforcement strategies.
- Manage the outsourcing of seriously past-due accounts to external agencies, monitoring performance and return rates.
- Execute asset recovery logistics with external service providers such as repossession companies and bailiffs.
- Ensure training plans and documentation for receivables collection are up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in debt recovery, credit control, or collections.
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in debt recovery tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of credit policies, financial regulations, and debt collection laws.
