About the role
Echolab Laboratory & Radiology Services is seeking a dedicated Radiographer to join our team in Garki, Abuja. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform conventional and special radiographic procedures, including HSG, RUG, and Barium studies.
- Operate CT scanners, MRI, and X-ray machines to obtain clear diagnostic images.
- Position patients and equipment correctly, explaining procedures to ensure their comfort.
- Set accurate radiation levels and obtain patient consent in line with legal requirements.
- Upload acquired images to the viewing platform and update patient records on PACS.
- Monitor patients during examinations to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Report any safety hazards to the Radiologist and Branch Operations Manager.
- Provide psychological support and reassurance to patients during imaging.
Requirements
- First Degree in Radiography.
- A valid license to practice Radiography.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Attention to detail and skill in proper patient identification.
