About the role
MDaaS Global operates BeaconHealth Diagnostics, a network of tech-enabled clinics providing radiology, pathology, and cardiology services across Nigeria. We are looking for a dedicated Radiographer to join our team in Umuahia, Abia State. In this full-time, onsite role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images that clinicians rely on for accurate patient care. You will manage the imaging schedule, ensure patient comfort and safety, and operate radiographic equipment within a modern clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, review clinical notes, and explain procedures in plain language to ensure comfort and safety.
- Develop daily priority lists to manage scheduled procedures and emergencies effectively.
- Operate all radiographic equipment, including portable units, and assist patients with positioning.
- Position patients and equipment to obtain clear, accurate images with appropriate density and contrast.
- Apply radiation safety measures and protection devices in line with regulatory requirements.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and ensure the X-ray room is sanitized.
- Analyze imaging results and maintain accurate, confidential patient records in our BeaconOS platform.
- Perform sonographic examinations and decontaminate equipment if covering the ultrasound room.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
- Current registration with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience in a hospital or diagnostic centre.
- Working knowledge of radiation protection standards and safe operating practices.
- Ability to explain procedures clearly and calmly to patients.
- Computer literacy and comfort with digital record systems.
- Preferred: Competence in ultrasound scanning, experience with digital radiography/PACS, and familiarity with portable equipment.
