About the role
Peoplevantage Consulting Limited is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Uyo, Akwa Ibom. This position focuses on managing construction cost estimation, measurement, and valuation. You will ensure project expenditure is monitored and works are delivered within approved budgets. Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and material quantity take-offs.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and support financial forecasting.
- Measure completed works and prepare interim valuations and payment applications.
- Verify contractors’ and subcontractors’ claims before recommending payments.
- Prepare variation estimates and maintain a variation register.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, and Construction teams to support procurement decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of BOQs, valuations, and commercial correspondence.
- Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts, and budget variance analyses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant construction experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software such as CostX or Cubit.
- Strong knowledge of construction measurement, BOQs, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Membership of NIQS or registration with QSRBN is an advantage.
- Experience in large-scale building, high-rise, healthcare, or institutional projects is preferred.
