About the role
Intelligence Properties is a leading multidisciplinary property service company in Nigeria. We are looking for a competent and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos. This full-time, on-site position reports to the Head of Finance and focuses on supporting the cost and commercial management of our real estate development projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with contract administration, final accounts, and tender preparation.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and advise management on cost control.
- Support procurement processes and negotiate with contractors and vendors.
- Assess variations, claims, and additional works.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and payment certificates.
- Analyse architectural and engineering drawings for accurate measurement and costing.
- Maintain accurate cost records and project documentation.
- Obtain and analyse current market prices for materials, labour, and services.
- Participate in site meetings and project reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction or real estate development.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, costs, and tendering processes.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software (CostX, Buildsoft, or AutoCAD is an advantage).
- Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- QSRBN membership or registration is an advantage.
- Willingness to visit project sites when required.
