About the role
Business Contracting Limited (BCL) is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost and quantity estimation for construction projects. You will work closely with contractors, builders, and stakeholders to ensure projects stay within budget while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project needs.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates.
- Evaluate tender submissions and provide cost analysis.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams for accurate quantity take-offs.
- Monitor project costs and report regularly to management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Assist in procurement by sourcing competitive quotations.
- Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare interim valuations and track project variations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for contracts and cost control.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- NIQS Registered or at Stage III.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity surveying software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards.
