About the role
Ciar is a fashion brand dedicated to making a positive impact in the industry. They are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer with a background in fashion and garment production. This full-time position is based in Abuja (FCT) and focuses on ensuring all outfits meet the company’s high standards for quality, specifications, and finishing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality checks at various stages of the production process.
- Examine finished outfits for defects, incorrect measurements, and finishing errors.
- Ensure garments meet approved designs, patterns, and specifications.
- Identify and document defective items, communicating issues to the production team.
- Monitor the work of tailors and sewing operators to maintain quality standards.
- Verify that details like zippers, buttons, and labels are properly attached.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and corrective actions.
- Conduct final inspections before packaging and dispatch.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree, or relevant professional training in tailoring.
- At least 2 years of experience in Quality Control within the fashion or garment manufacturing industry.
- Practical experience inspecting garments and working with tailors.
- Strong knowledge of fashion design, tailoring processes, and garment inspection.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
