About the role
Ponticelli Nigeria Limited (PNL), a subsidiary of the Ponticelli Frères Group, is seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager. As a leading European services supplier in the energy, industrial, and infrastructural sectors, PNL provides world-class construction and upgrade services for Oil and Gas facilities in Nigeria. This permanent contract role is based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Responsibilities
- QA/QC Activities: Manage project quality to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and QMS requirements. Lead the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) for planning, fabrication, inspection, and operations.
- Team Leadership: Provide direction and mentorship to QA/QC personnel, manage work schedules, and identify training needs.
- Inspection & Testing: Oversee visual inspections, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE), and risk-based inspection (RBI) activities. Manage inspection plans for new construction, repairs, and alterations.
- Welding Management: Manage welding procedures, qualifications, and testing. Coordinate with classification societies and notify bodies for approvals.
- Technical Support: Provide support based on industry standards such as ASME, AWS, and BS EN. Maintain welder databases and manage materials for testing.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar QA/QC role.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to produce engineering reports.
- Professional English is mandatory.
